JONES ROBB, PLLC, is growing and we are pleased to welcome our new team members! Our new team members add years of experience in the areas of client services, docketing, and marketing and contribute to the growth of our mechanical, electrical, software, and industrial design practice areas. Reflecting the firm’s commitment to top-notch quality and diversity, we expect our new team members to provide the same outstanding service that our clients have come to expect from Jones Robb. Welcome to our newest team members – Attorneys Amy Lang and Leonid Thenor, Docketing Coordinators Vernon Evans and Craig Smelter, and Office Services Clerk Peter Chamberlain.
AMY LANG joins our team with 10 years of experience in patent application drafting and prosecution. Her background in biomedical engineering, as well as her experience as a patent examiner, makes Amy a valuable asset to our team. She is a member of the firm’s Industrial Design Practice Group as well as the Mechanical and Medical Device Practice Group, where she will continue to leverage her patent application drafting and patent prosecution experience, and provide counseling relating to portfolio analysis, infringement and validity opinions, and due diligence investigations. When not matching wits with Examiners, Amy enjoys running. She has run six marathons!
LEONID THENOR has more than 20 years of experience representing domestic and foreign clients in a variety of intellectual property matters. Although he possesses a degree in mechanical engineering, Leo’s technical expertise also encompasses computer, software, electrical and satellite technologies. Leo’s practice focuses on patent application drafting and prosecution, client counseling, and strategic portfolio development. Leo’s experience with patent litigation at both the district court and appellate levels allows him to prosecute patent applications with a mind toward future litigation. Leo is an avid motorsport fan, mostly international cars and motorcycles. He follows Formula 1 and Moto GP.
VERNON EVANS joins our team as one of our two new Patent Docketing Coordinators. Vernon is an experienced docketing professional who has served as a “jack of all trades” at his past firms. His versatility and ability to manage and maintain a patent docket efficiently makes him an invaluable addition to our team. Vernon enjoys jet skiing in the summer and has crowned himself “king of the blue-crab connoisseurs.”
CRAIG SMELTER also joins our team as a new Patent Docketing Coordinator. Craig is an experienced docketing professional whose specialty is database conversion. At Jones Robb, Craig will manage a variety of incoming patent documents and communications received from USPTO, clients, and other entities, as well as assist the firm with data collection and analysis and AI docketing projects. When Craig isn’t working he enjoys playing guitar. He is currently working on a videography project with his children.
PETER CHAMBERLAIN is the firm’s newest Office Services Clerk, assisting the team in administrative duties. His knowledge and experience in the fields of information design, technical communication, and brand design will help with the firm’s everyday operations and allow him to contribute to the development of a new firm marketing plan. When Pete is not in the office, he is writing stories or playing Spanish guitar.
